Seasonal Activities
In spring and summer, guests can relax on the porch and veranda and enjoy the beauty and fragrance of the flowering vines, rose bushes and apple blossoms that adorn the exterior of the Inn. Or cool off in the Olympic-sized outdoor swimming pool in town after a hike or round of golf at the local country club. In autumn, the air grows crisp and the hills and mountains turn crimson and gold with fall foliage. Snow season presents a host of winter activities and a network of trails for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snow machines, while skiing at Sugarbush Mountain Resort is a half-hour’s drive of the Inn. In addition, Norwich University offers entertainment and sporting events year round.

Annual Events for the Whole Family
Special events such as Norwich University Commencements in May and June, the Labor Day Observances featuring the state’s largest parade, the Haunted Hayride and Ellie’s Farm Market Jack-o-lantern Show in October, and the Cabot Hosiery Sock Sale and Chinouard’s T-shirt and Sweatshirt Sale in November, provide entertainment and great holiday shopping opportunities for the whole family.
